Photo tagging was a pretty new concept. I think Flickr may have had it, but the idea that you’re tagging a person and then you can go browse that person’s profile by photos they’ve been tagged in, that wasn’t brand new innovation. That is a mechanic that was not thought of in social networks before. If you think about what Friendster and MySpace were, you could upload a limited set of photos, which by the way you’d have to delete one to add another. MySpace only allowed you to have eight photos maximum at the time. This is—Ben, what you’re describing of person tagging in photos—incredible innovation that drives the whole viral loop.…
