I think a sufficient number of my friends had a PlayStation where I was used to the controller. Then they all got PlayStation 2s and then it became a no-brainer for me to get a 2. Yup. And the other thing that the PS2 had was backward compatibility with the PS1, and that was a totally new concept in the industry. Day one, the PS2, you had 8000 games from the PS1 that you could play, and they did a little bit of upscaling on them. Unfortunately, the PS3, Sony got a little carried away.…
