…Yes. It’s hard because I see the value of utopia as trying to clarify what it is that you’re actually trying to get to. It’s not meant to be, “We think that this form of society will necessarily come about because of my preferred policies or changes,” but if you can define what Eden is, then you can approximate it as close as you can get. It seems sad to me that people don’t really do that anymore. Obviously, things have gotten better on various measures, but I don’t think anyone would describe our current world as a utopia, and you don’t really see that kind of engagement.
