I think a lot of people in our generation date for a long time, live together, and feel like life partners. But there's something totally different about being married, having the ring on every day as a reminder, and the sense of longevity associated with it is really cool and a really totally different psychological place than I thought. And you go through this process and project together of the wedding. From the moment you get engaged until the wedding, you're like a caterpillar going into a cocoon.
