…They have great internet in Montana. I think that we live in a relatively Manichean society. There’s a desire for purity. I think the desire for purity is relatively dangerous. It’s my disposition, I think it’s my wife’s disposition, to roll up my sleeves and just deal with the messy world. I’ve noticed that every time in my life where I’ve tried to flee it in some way, I’ve actually ended up less happy. I’m not saying you’ll ever do it, but what does your escape fantasy look like? One of mine is I’ll go live in a third-tier city in Mexico. I’m not going to do it, but sometimes I think about it. Cost of living would be very low. The food would be amazing. I could improve my Spanish. It is moving to Genoa with my family, making my US income, living in Italy. I love Italy. I love the food. I love the people. I love the culture. I feel lighter while I’m there. I laugh more. We eat dinner later. I love everything about it. It would probably be living in Italy for the most part, or at least making that my home base, brushing up on my Italian, working less.…
