It’s the cost to his society, particularly even more of his successor, has been enormous. I actually think it’s had an enormous cost to the whole, I would say, Western Hemisphere because of the flood of migrants from Venezuela. Just finding a place to live a decent life has created problems of migration and affected the politics of much of North and South America. Poland is now converging on Western European living standards. Does that show that shock therapy simply can work if you stick with it? That would be my conclusion.…
