I haven’t looked in sufficient detail, country by country, to be able to say where. I would say that in Central Africa, Rwanda’s done very well on health. I’d say that Ethiopia has done very well on health, but I do think that it’s just a generally positive story across the continent of what has been done in terms of reducing this horrific disease burden that really has dominated African history. Bruce Sacerdote of Dartmouth — he has a famous article where he argues — or some would say shows — that the longer a country has been colonized for, the better it’s likely to be doing.
