…And other than your new podcast, again, Cautionary Tales — it’s already out — is there any other longer-term plan you’re free to talk about? A new book, anything? Yes. By the time this podcast is out, I will be doing the edits on the second edition or the second book of 50 Things That Made the Modern Economy, so 50 Things, Season Two. But the next project — in the spirit of multiple projects and slow-motion multitasking — it’s nearly finished. I’m looking forward to getting back to it. The next project is a book, titled How to Make the World Add Up. That is a book about how to think about the statistical claims that people make, how to think like a fact checker, but how to, hopefully, be wiser than just a fact checker, and how not to give in to utter despair at the sense that there is no objective reality out there. I think there is a constructive way forward. And that’s what the next book will be about. Tim Harford, thank you very much.…
