A PhD is the hardest form of writing, I think, in terms of galvanizing yourself into wanting to do it. Why do so few writers use markets and self-constraint? So many people will say, “I want to finish. I want to finish earlier, want to finish my thesis.” But very few people do what you did, I find. You claim it’s effective. I suspect that’s correct.
