That doesn’t mean it’s not a boring book. I just found Infinite Jest to be really overrated. But that being said, I loved The Pale King, even though he never finished that novel. So it’s hard for me to really categorize an entire body of work in that way. If you’re going with his most famous book, then I guess I would say overrated. But I would say that The Pale King was underrated. That was a chaotic book in fragments that he didn’t get a chance to finish, but there was great stuff there. Edna St. Vincent Millay, the poet.…
