Craig Newmark: evaluation

29 Apr 2026 Conversations with Tyler Craig Newmark on Institutional Maintenance, Giving Away Control, and the Internet We Were Promised (Live at 92NY)

“To charge them $10 or $20 for them is nothing, but it would be a rate limiter, and we settled on $10 because I realized that a new apartment broker would be making maybe $20,000 a year in New York, and if you’re doing that, you have to have one or two other jobs to get through the day.”

I just figured I needed to learn more about what was going on. To charge them $10 or $20 for them is nothing, but it would be a rate limiter, and we settled on $10 because I realized that a new apartment broker would be making maybe $20,000 a year in New York, and if you’re doing that, you have to have one or two other jobs to get through the day.
