…I feel everyone does need to like everything, but go on. I think it’s important to channel some creative energy into something that’s more meaningful for the person. Now, the interesting thing, of course, you’ve seen in Silicon Valley is a lot of the OG dot-com founders have found themselves in the very deep end of contemporary art all of a sudden. As they have evolved and their lifestyles have evolved — Jeff Bezos and others — went from relatively low participation in the art market to extremely significant participation in the art market. Maybe it’s just an evolution in a point in time. That is definitely one theory of the case. I think a more accurate theory of the case is, if you look across all culture, over all time, art was an important part of certain aspects of society, but not all aspects of society.
