…What’s the best metric for discerning how well the war against cancer’s going? I tried to google progress against cancer. I found it remarkably hard to find anything useful. That, to me, is not an encouraging sign, and I’m good with Google. [laughs] You are good with Google. I know that. So, I would say that actually what you want to look at is the relationship between . . . you want to look at five-year mortalities and the percent of people who have five-year mortality. But you also need to measure that by not having too much early diagnosis. So, one of the things we’ve noted is that we can diagnose a lot of cancers that would never have been a problem for people. Almost all of us have cancer cells floating around in our body. Our immune system takes care of it. We have done a remarkable job in many things in early diagnosis. But that can be bad, of course.…
