It was wonderful, but meat-consuming societies, pastoral societies that rely on a large intake of both dairy products and meat is fantastic and delicious, but I have trouble eating it day after day after day. Parts of Central Asia were probably the most challenging for me. That said, I will happily eat anything at all. That’s a necessity of maybe doing this kind of thing — you can’t be picky, and you certainly don’t want to turn your nose up at food that’s offered as a blessing to you, sometimes from people who don’t have much themselves.
