…With COVID-19 coming, so many top schools have abandoned the requirement to standardized tests. Do you think we should make that permanent? Or do you think it’s bad? I think that essentially the reason that they have it is, when you look at an application, it’s really hard to know what to make of grades or other things. It’s a metric on which everybody can be compared, but I think it’s a metric that ultimately holds a fairly limited amount of information. Part of what it does is to proxy for socioeconomic status because, ultimately, the SAT is a test that can be prepared for very well. More so than extracurriculars, right?
