I think there are different variations of how you do this, but there’s a startup variation of it which is somebody gets up, there’s a PowerPoint deck behind them, and they don’t know what it is. They come in totally cold. They see the first slide and they just have to start talking as if this is their presentation, and the next slide comes up and they have to connect it to whatever the hell they were saying about the previous slide and create a cohesive story. It’s a good muscle to exercise. It’s like improv for business. You could do this with startup pitches as well. You could literally just remix. Take one deck of cards, which is successful internet companies, and another deck of cards which is just niches. You could just pull two different cards then pitch it. It’s surprising how some pretty viable ideas come out of it. Someone should do that as a startup comedy podcast.…
