…And by the way, when you watched the fights with your father, did you watch them for fun or analyze them too? Mostly we analyzed them. My father always loved to analyze fights. We’d sit like this and he’d say this, this, chokes, striking, wrestling. We were constantly analyzing. There was a fight in two thousand and six or two thousand and seven. I don’t even remember the exact year. Approximately around that time when Georges St-Pierre fought Sean Sherk. We even re-watched that fight a couple of times. Then Georges St-Pierre fought B.J. Penn, the second fight, I think, after the fourth round when there was a stoppage. Then, well, there were many, many fights and my father actually admired the fighting style, the fighting style of Georges St-Pierre. He really impressed us. And my father, my father always emphasized his timing of takedowns after striking, how he closed the distance. And honestly, my whole, you know, like teenage conscious years growing up, like my formative years transitioning into an adult, it was all tied to Pride in its prime. And after the UFC bought Pride and those fighters crossed over, that whole boom in 2006, ‘7, ‘8 and ‘9, the rise of the UFC, I remember that era so vividly.
